Tobias joined Condé Nast in 2004 as Fashion Editor at GQ, became Mens Fashion Director at Vanity Fair in 2007 and was appointed Fashion Director GQ and Creative Director GQ Style in 2011. In 2021 Tobias was promoted with his new role as GQ Head of Editorial Content.

Biography

Tobias was  trained as a professional ballet dancer at John Cranko School in Stuttgart and School of American Ballet in New York from the age of 5. He quit his dance career as a teenager to study costume design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg and soon started his first editorial job as a Fashion Assistant at MAX magazine at the age of 19. 

Tobias joined Condé Nast in 2004 as Fashion Editor at GQ, became Mens Fashion Director at Vanity Fair in 2007 and was appointed Fashion Director GQ and Creative Director GQ Style in 2011. In 2021 Tobias was promoted with his new role as GQ Head of Editorial Content . He is well connected in the fashion industry and loves to create visual concepts.

He worked on Condé Nast shoots with photographers like Peter Lindbergh, Karl Lagerfeld, Bruno Staub, Max Farago, Matthew Brookes, Juergen Teller, Bruce Weber, Annie Liebowitz, Mario Testino and many more.
