The photographic series 'In the Garden' depicts scenes from a fictional indoor garden complex.
The world we observe appears to be entirely artificial, a plastic utopia, carefully designed to deliver happiness and relaxation to it's inhabitants.
Utterly estranged from nature it fails to imitate the actual thing, and leaves it's viewer with a shallow masquerade.
Just like the gardens, their owners appear to be a staging of themselves - they don't really do anything - everything is taken care of and nobody needs them.
Like parcels that haven't been picked up they are trying hard to cheat themselves into happiness.
Bright colors and superficial luxury - a dystopian vision in utopian dress.
