Cécile Giovannini is an swiss-italian artist, living and working in the alpine region of Valais in Switzerland. She's graduated from the Professional School of Contemporary Art (EPAC) in Saxon, Switzerland. She would soon make her professional career as a painter and illustrator.
She takes part in many collectives and solo exhibitions in Switzerland, Italy and Germany. In 2013 she receives the Swiss Price of young artist (Visarte, swiss artist and architects association). She's commissioned by music labels, fashion brands, press, editors and galleries. From 2011 to 2013 she takes the lead as a artistic director of the Sismics Festival, an international comics and image festival in Sierre, Switzerland. Her favorite medium is acrylic painting considering the multiple possibilities of styles it offers. Henri Rousseau, Michel Ange, Hopper and the 60's illustrations are part of her big influences.
