For David Fischer, spontaneity and trust are the key ingredients to creating compelling portraits. As a professional photographer, he knows it can be a lot to ask of both subjects and clients to embrace the unknown. That’s why he values the freedom that comes when they do.
As a teen, David was a passionate cyclist, but an illness sidelined him in high school. To stay connected with his team, he picked up a camera and started capturing their races. He later earned a full scholarship to the School of Visual Arts in New York, where an internship at Interview Magazine introduced him to fashion photography and celebrity shoots. After assisting various photographers, David moved to Germany to launch his own career. His style is spontaneous and uncompromising, focused on honest, simple portraits rather than staged results. He has since worked with clients including Adidas, Bentley, Chanel, Coca Cola, Hugo Boss, H&M, Jil Sander, Levi’s, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Sony Music, Volkswagen, and many more.
